The Corporation of the City of Whyalla invites proposals from Registrants to develop land owned by Council, being a portion of Lot 20 Iron Knob Road, Whyalla Barson known as the Whyalla Mount Laura Waste and Resource Recovery Centre, Deposited Plan 93696.

Following enquiries from potential proponents, the City of Whyalla (the ‘Council’) is seeking Expressions of Interest followed by detailed proposals to invest and develop land owned by the Council, being a portion of Lot 20 Iron Knob Road, Whyalla Barson known as the Whyalla Mount Laura Waste and Resource Recovery Centre, Deposited Plan 93696.

The Council is seeking to attract a proposal to the site that capitalises on its location within the existing landfill site and can deliver ongoing employment outcomes post-construction, all the while of an appropriate size and scale having regard to the site’s distinctive characteristics, position and topography.
