SA Geodata is South Australia’s primary geoscientific data repository. As part of the government’s Digital Restart Initiative, owners of the SA Geodata database, DEW and the Department for Energy and Mining, sought to engage a suitable ICT service provider to undertake renovation of the database’s technology and processes as a solution to provide:
• Improved flexibility and extensibility;
• Ease of management;
• Improved access to the data for stakeholders;
• Additional capacity;
• A platform that will facilitate technological change; and
• Best practice in digital customer experience.
Stage 1 – Deliver a solution design, scope and implementation plan (Project Management Plan) for a fixed price delivery in Stage 3 (Implementation).
Stage 2 – Review and agree to the design.
Stage 3 – Implement subject to SA Geodata Steering Committee approval of Stage 1 and the assessment of the Tailored Industry Participation Plan in consultation with the Office of the Industry Advocate (identified as Stage 2 of the project).
