National Aboriginal Art and Cultures Gallery (NAACG) Contract ID DPC-OCE-19-001
PwC have been engaged to manage and coordinate a process to define the scope and vision for the delivery of a National Aboriginal Art and Cultures Gallery on Lot 14.
A key aspect of the process is the consultation with critical stakeholders. The “Primary Stakeholders” for consultation are:
The Aboriginal community of SA. This consultation will be coordinated through two key representative bodies (the First Nations of SA Aboriginal Corporation and the SA Museum Aboriginal Advisory Committee) as well as leveraging the relationships and role of the Indigenous Land Corporation.
Art Gallery of SA
Tandanya National Aboriginal Cultural Institute
State Library of SA.
Given the potential nature and role of the NAACG, the other relevant stakeholders that will also be consulted to provide relevant perspectives include:
Botanic Gardens of SA
History Trust of SA
The consultation process will be designed to bring together the different perspectives of stakeholders to develop a clear set of recommendations to enable the Government to move forward on this initiative. In particular, the final report will make clear recommendations on:
A vision for the project.
The scope and scale of the project.
The potential phasing of the project.
The ongoing involvement, relationship and collaboration with the Aboriginal Community.
Governance (both for the project and the ongoing operation of the NAACG), including the role and ongoing collaboration of the Primary Stakeholders.
