SACFS Wildland Firefighting Garments
The SACFS seeks to engage a sole supplier for the provision of Wildland firefighting garments, who will:
- Supply protective jackets and trousers to be ‘fit for purpose’ for firefighting operations, manufactured in accordance with the Australian/New Zealand Standard 4824:2006 Protective clothing for firefighters and Australian/New Zealand Standard 4602.2:2013 High Visibility safety garments”;

Supply protective gloves to be ‘fit for purpose’ for firefighting operations, manufactured in accordance with the Australian/New Zealand Standard 2161.6:2003 Type 1 Occupational protective gloves;

Facilitate a fitting process to ensure garments are correctly sized and fit for purpose;

Provide an online ordering portal which facilitates delivery directly to volunteer home address; and

Provide a single computer system to track and trace both existing and new Personal Protective Clothing (“PPC”) issued to SACFS personnel (which includes both staff and volunteers)
The SACFS proposes a seven (7) year contract term, consisting of:

Three (3) year initial term

Two (2) year extension option

Two (2) year extension option
It is anticipated the Agreement will commence on 1 July 2019.
