This Tender is for the provision of services of a suitably qualified supplier/s to undertake repair works for public safety purposes on 22 gazetted Public Access Routes (PAR) covering approximately 661kms of low volume, unsealed, unformed dirt tracks in remote areas of South Australia’s pastoral lease country. PARs are tracks suitable for access by 4-wheel drive vehicles in dry conditions to 'point of interest' sites such as National Parks or historic infrastructure with lengths varying of 0.6 to 226 kms. Repair specifications and standards for works undertaken on the PARs will be based on the Australian Road Research Board’s Unsealed Roads Best Practice Guide Edition 2 (2020) for light formation grading Class 4D access tracks. Works are expected to commence in early April 2023 with a completion date of 30 June 2024.
