The Coorong District Council (Council) operate Community Wastewater Management Systems (CWMS) across various townships including Tailem Bend, Meningie, Tintinara and Wellington.

In 2022 Council undertook a condition assessment of all CWMS pump chambers.  There were eleven pump chambers assessed in Tailem Bend, three in Wellington East, eight in Meningie and four in Tintinara. The assessment provided description on concrete condition and recommendations for rehabilitation. A priority upgrade category was allocated to each chamber: Low, Medium, High and Urgent.

This Contract is for the upgrade and rehabilitation of the following pump chambers with the category classified as ‘Urgent’ and ‘High’, to be completed in two stages. Stage 1 will include 5 pump chambers, in urgent renewal category to be delivered in FY 22/23 and Stage 2 will include 9 pump chambers in the high category to be delivered in FY 23/24.
