Description
Alexandrina Council invites tenders for the construction of a bluestone retaining wall at the Strathalbyn Soldiers Memorial Gardens.
The Strathalbyn Soldiers Memorial Gardens is a state heritage listed park located within the centre of the Strathalbyn Township bordered by Commercial Road, Albyn Terrace, Colman Terrace and Sunter Street.
The retaining wall is approximately 47 metres in length and reaches heights of 1.8 metres at the northern end to 1.2 metres at the southern end. The wall is west of the rotunda and runs adjacent the old swimming pool between two sets of steps.
