Description
Gambling Help Services (GHS) are funded through the Gamblers Rehabilitation Fund (GRF) to provide free and confidential therapy, counselling, assistance and support for those affected by gambling, including family and friends. The GHS also deliver strategies to raise community awareness, reduce stigma, minimize risk and harm and encourage early help seeking.
GHS are comprised of non−government and Government organisations. The GHS include Metropolitan and Country GHS (MCGHS) which are located in regions throughout South Australia and there are also Targeted GHS for specialised services and particular population groups. The Service Agreements for the provision of GHS are managed by the Office for Problem Gambling (OPG) which also administers the GRF.
Current Service Agreements for Targeted GHS are due to expire on 30 June 2016. A tender process is sought for these services from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2019 with the option of a three year extension.
