The City of Mitcham facilitates and supports numerous community events throughout the year. Such events provide significant value to the community in terms of broad social benefit, community connectedness and the opportunity to celebrate or recognise the contribution of individuals and groups to the local community. Community engagement is also achieved through the delivery of such events and activities that promote participation and wellbeing. 

Currently, events management is decentralised across several areas of Council with resources, funding, responsibility and processes spread between the Business Areas.

The City of Mitcham is undertaking an operational review of its Events Management and Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitable qualified and capable persons/organisations to assist with this project.
