ADVANCE NOTICE – HOSTING SERVICES PANEL STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENTS

It is the intention of the State to open the Hosting Services Panel to the market in September/October 2017.

The Hosting Services Panel (HSP) was established in 2008 and expires on 8 October 2021. There are currently 13 Suppliers on the HSP who may provide hosting services in one or more of the following segments:

• Unmanaged Co-location Hosting Services – the provision of an environmentally managed and secure hosting facility where an Agency rents space to accommodate State-owned server equipment; 
• Shared Hosting Services – the provision of non-exclusive access to the Supplier’s infrastructure resources, computer equipment for hosting the State’s software applications, data and content located in the Supplier’s hosting facility. The Supplier’s server equipment is shared between multiple customers, though access to the State’s data is limited as directed by an Agency; and
• Dedicated Hosting Services – the provision of exclusive access to the Supplier’s infrastructure, resources, computer equipment located in the Supplier’s hosting facility for hosting the State’s data. The server equipment is dedicatedly solely for the State’s use.

The HSP is an ‘open’ panel arrangement which is opened on a periodic basis to allow new Suppliers to join the HSP via a formal market call. The last market approach was February 2015.
