Green Industries SA (GISA), in partnership with Procurement SA, has engaged a supplier to undertake waste education programs at identified state government primary and secondary schools.
The services aim at promoting community education, action, and foster participation in sustainable behaviour, thereby supporting the implementation of the Accelerating SA’s transition to the circular economy: South Australia’s Waste Strategy 2025-2030.
The supplier will develop and implement a new Which Bin for Schools program focusing on:
- Delivering tailored waste education and behaviour change initiatives to at least 35 low performing state primary and secondary schools, identified by the Department for Education (DfE).
- Promoting best-practice waste separation and reduction behaviours.
- Introducing age-appropriate concepts of the circular economy to students.
- Measuring both student learning outcomes and landfill diversion improvements across participating sites.
