Thank you to all suppliers that have taken the time to provide feedback through the online survey tool on their experience with procurement processes advertised on the SA Tenders and Contracts website.

The data from the first year’s responses was analysed in late 2015 and separate reports have been provided to the State Procurement Board, DPTI (for construction procurement) and the Local Government Association.

Data related to each agency’s procurement activity has also been provided to a senior procurement representative in that agency for further review and consideration of any process improvement required at the local level.

The State Procurement Board has established two projects for 2016 to consider capability development and policy framework enhancements where the feedback has suggested an opportunity for improvement exists. These are:

  • the need for improved communication with the supply market before, during and at the conclusion of each procurement process; and
  • providing greater visibility in invitation documents on the opportunity for innovation to be offered/selected in the procurement process.

Your ongoing feedback is critical to understanding where government is doing well and where there remains further room for improvement.
