Description

  1. The Barossa Regional Procurement Group (comprising The Barossa Council, District Council of Mallala, Town of Gawler, Light Regional Council and the Mid Murray Council (the Councils) invites tenders from Tenderers for the provision of maintenance and testing of fire safety equipment at various Council facilities throughout each of the Council areas (the Services).  The Councils will enter into a Contract for Services with the successful Tenderer.
  2. The Councils’ aim to deliver on the legislative requirements for the fire services program for 2015/2016 to 2017-2018 in accordance with the Minister’s Specification SA 76 2015 edition, Maintenance and testing of essential safety provisions as required by the Development Act 1993 and the National Construction Code (formerly Building Code of Australia).
  3. The testing and maintenance of fire safety equipment is required at various Council owned facilities and vehicles including, but not limited to, Town Hall/Civic Centres, Libraries, Community Centres, Depots, Community Halls, Swimming Pools and Institutes.
  4. The Tenderer shall provide the Services in accordance with the Specification.
  5. The Contract for Services is to be established with a sole supplier for use by the Councils that are a part of this tender.  The contractual arrangements will be established through a Professional Services Agreement between the individual Councils and the successful Tenderer.  Services will be purchased by participating Councils through individual orders established between the individual Councils and the successful Tenderer in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Professional Services Agreement.
  6. Tenderers should be aware that use of this arrangement by the Councils is discretionary and Councils are not obliged to enter into a contract for the Services.
