This Request for Quotation (RFQ) covers the provision of ophthalmic lasers and associated maintenance services for the New RAH

Two specific types of lasers are required:

• Nd YAG Laser
• Retinal Photocoagulator (Argon Laser)

The Nd YAG Laser will be used in the dedicated YAG Laser Consulting room in Ophthalmology Outpatients of the new Royal Adelaide Hospital. The main purpose for the laser equipment is needed for tasks such as peripheral iridotomy, posterior capsulotomy and selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT).

The Retinal Photocoagulator (Argon Laser) required will be able to perform the following for use in photocoagulation of both anterior and posterior segments of the eye including; retinal photocoagulation, panretinal photocoagulation and macular laser for proliferative and non-proliferative retinopathy (including diabetic); choroidal neovascularization secondary to age-related macular degeneration; retinal tears and detachments; macular oedema, retinopathy of prematurity; choroidal neovascularization; leaking micro aneurysms, and Iridoplasty.

Both lasers shall be supplied with a dedicated instrument table on castors or wheels and these should be included within your quotation.
