The general intention of the works is to extend the existing clay sideliner for Cell 2 at the Mount Laura Waste and Resource Recovery Centre in preparation for placement of further waste as part of landfill operations at the site.

Because of the specialised nature of the works, and the requirement that all work be carried out strictly in accordance with EPA regulatory requirements, Expressions of Interest are sought from contractors who have previous experience in the construction of clay liners for landfill cells under EPA regulations, or similar.

It is the Council’s intention to short list suitable contractors for invitation to participate in a select tender process.
