The South Australian Government, through the Department of State Development (DSD), is issuing a Request for Tender (RFT) to find a suitable Independent Power Producer (IPP) to provide the primary electricity supply to the off-grid town of Marree in South Australia. To reduce diesel requirements of the town, a minimum renewable energy contribution of 70% is to be achieved. DSD seeks to enter into a Power Purchasing Agreement (PPA) with the IPP to purchase electricity at a specific price per megawatt hour ($/MWh) for up to 20 years (15 year contract with optional 5 year extension).

Interested parties are invited to tender to DSD ("Principal") to design, construct, own, operate and maintain an integrated hybrid renewable energy diesel electricity generation system to provide the township of Marree with a reliable, safe and quality power supply ("Project Requirements") in accordance with the instructions.
