The Mount Compass Recreation Park construction project will deliver to its community a professionally designed and constructed playspace within a residential Council owned Reserve located between Anderson Court and Waye Court, Mount Compass.

Following extensive public consultation and community engagement, key elements of the the Mount Compass Recreation Park include;

• A modern, integrated & multi-use skate facility catering for skate, BMX and inline user groups, focussed toward younger children (8 – 14 years old);

• A dedicated BMX specific track, bike & pedestrian paths;

• Nature playground including logs, swings and rope climbing features;

• Creek environment, with landscape and plantings;

• Open green space containing gazebos, BBQ and seating furniture;

• Small basketball ‘half-court’;

• Visitor car-parking; and

• Ancillary items including bike racks, drinking fountain, other.

All of these key elements received overwhelming positive community support, and are reflected within final documentation.

The Council is supportive of tenders considering and utilising the services of specialist design company/s for two (or more) key components of this project; being the Skate park component, and BMX track component.

The Council is also very supportive of tenders considering and utilising the services of local suppliers, providers and trades for all aspects of the project.
